Bill Quigg

President

Since Bill Quigg was 12 years old, he always wanted to be a baker and always wanted to work at Richmond Baking (aka More Than A Bakery). His first job was stamping dates on cookie boxes, and after 6 years was promoted to actually mix dough. Bill strongly believes that the closer one is to making the cookies, the more important the job is to the success of the company. All functions in the bakery are there to support the folks that are closest to the cookies.

Bill's education, industry involvement and work history have been focused on his passion to help the people that make the cookies be successful. In addition to stamping boxes (he got so fast, he outpaced the production line) and mixing, he has also worked in sanitation, purchasing, sales and answers the phone and takes out the trash whenever possible. His favorite part of working at the bakery is making so many friends and being able to work amongst his family and the bakery Family. Bill often says that has only worked 6 days in his career, because he truly loves his work.

Bill is very fortunate to work alongside his amazing wife, Felicia, who provides counsel and is a highly valued sounding board for many decisions. Felicia and Bill have three beautiful (both inside and out) daughters, Cailyn, Lorelei and Brecklyn. Bill is also very proud of the fact that Richmond Baking is a 4th generation business, alongside brother Rob, with plans to "pass the apron" to the next generation of which there are 7 "G-5ers".

The best decision Bill ever made at work was to create the Board of Advisors, a very experienced group of senior executives that provide guidance, counsel, love and support to Bill and the team on a regular basis. The most exciting decision he has been a part of has been the creation of More Than A Bakery in Versailles, KY. To bring together the best thoughts regarding plant design, cleanliness, hygienic zoning, allergen control, micro containment and baking efficiency has been an amazing, challenging and thoroughly exhausting experience.
