We have been very busy in the kitchen coming up with some new delights – JUMBO cookies! They are awesome, tender but chewy, thick, rich cookies and we have only just begun with the flavors. Our first introductions are Double Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Walnut Chunk. Come in and wrap your taste buds around these one-a-day cookies. You’ll be back for more, many more.

We are serving our own bakery made lemonades for the summer. Our Blackberry Lemonade and the Mint Limeade are fantastic cool drinks for hot humid days. They won’t be here for long – summer does come to an end and these drinks will end in August. Get here fast and enjoy before they disappear.

We are offering three new mini single serving cakes: Mexican Chocolate with cinnamon, Razzle Berry - blueberries and raspberries with lemon frosting and the New England Maple Oat cake. The good old standby Carrot cake is always available.

Have you been in recently to try the new paninis Paige has created? Our DAGWOOD is here! Roast beef, cole slaw, Swiss and cheddar, banana peppers, red onions, pickles, bacon and tomato sandwich is grilled to perfection - wrap your mouth around that one! The Gilsum Turkey Reuben is very popular, but not to be outdone is the Auburn Apple with a crisp apple slice, bacon and cheddar. The Pelham Pastrami, Chester the Jester (tuna) and Bath Bada Bing are the latest hot items - pun intended! We change our panini offerings frequently, so come on in and see what we’ve created.
All of our sandwiches are served with your choice of a crisp mixed green salad, chips, potato or pasta salad and of course, with a smile.
Adopt-a-platoon Boxes Posted on October 16th, 2009
For the past 4 years, almost since the day we opened for business, we have been sending boxes to our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Tips left by generous customers have helped fund these gifts of food, movies and toiletries. Every quarter, about 6-10 boxes are packaged up by employees and then shipped out. They are really appreciated, especially when our chocolate chip and ginger cookies get there along with Cool Beans coffee. As several emails and thank you letters have told us – a taste of home and to be remembered is great. We encourage any of our customers to bring in names and addresses of those deployed and we will add them to our list. Thank you to those who serve our country and thanks to those generous tips. We are always trying new deli items here at Tasteful Affairs. Our latest hot lunch addition is a shredded chicken and cheddar quesadilla with lime chipotle sour cream and fresh salsa. It’s a great light “on the go” lunch. Come in and enjoy.
