Adopt-a-platoon Boxes Posted on October 16th, 2009
For the past 4 years, almost since the day we opened for business, we have been sending boxes to our troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. Tips left by generous customers have helped fund these gifts of food, movies and toiletries. Every quarter, about 6-10 boxes are packaged up by employees and then shipped out. They are really appreciated, especially when our chocolate chip and ginger cookies get there along with Cool Beans coffee. As several emails and thank you letters have told us – a taste of home and to be remembered is great. We encourage any of our customers to bring in names and addresses of those deployed and we will add them to our list. Thank you to those who serve our country and thanks to those generous tips.
